TikTok is yet again in a state craze due to the viral Pez Dispenser Loading hack. But does the trick really work? Can you actually load the dispenser effortlessly from the bottom?

TikTok has a plethora of “life-hacks” that vary in actual usefulness.

One such hack involving a PEZ dispenser went viral. The seeming real trick uploaded by TikToker sonn1c showed a smooth way to load PEZ candies into the PEZ dispenser from the bottom with the wrapper still on.

PEZ Dispenser Loading TikTok Hack

The TikTok user @sonn1c made the viral PEZ Dispenser loading hack.

In a day, the video garnered over 3.3 million views.

The TikToker can be seen inserting a wrapped PEZ roll into the dispenser from the bottom. The inner shaft is then displaced upwards by the roll. Sonn1c then pushes down the shaft with a gentle force.

With this, the PEZ packaging is dislodged and pushed out from the bottom. And now it is done. The candy tablets now sit perfectly aligned in the dispenser.

But how much of this is true? Does the viral PEZ dispenser track really work?

Does The TikTok Trick Work?

Unfortunately, the PEZ dispenser TikTok trick does not work.

The video caused a frenzy.

The physics-defying PEZ dispenser hack was tried out by many to achieve a disappointing failure. Many famous TikTokers, including Jakeb Sweet and Party Shirt, chimed in to capitalize on the virality of the PEZ dispenser video.

But like the original one, they faked their videos to fit the narrative.

The reality is, the viral trick does not work at all. Many people have tried this at their homes and made TikTok showing that it is not possible. YouTube channel TheSouthCarolinians uploaded a video trying the hack and ended up damaging his PEZ dispenser at the end.

Can You Load PEZ Dispenser From Bottom?

A PEZ Dispenser cannot be filled from the bottom.

PEZ Candy USA took to social media on July 29 to address the viral TikTok video. On Instagram, they shared a video with the caption:

“Myth Busters: you can’t load a wrapped #PEZ candy roll from the bottom. Check out the proper way. Bonus if you get all 12 tablets in the first try.”

PEZ themselves verified that there is no way to fill the dispenser from the bottom. Hence, this is another lesson of why you should not believe anything you see on the internet, especially TikTok.

How To Actually Fill The PEZ Dispenser?

After PEZ debunked the viral TikTok hack to load the dispenser, they provided the “proper way” to load the candies into the dispenser.

A person is shown unwrapping the packaging on one side while holding the top and bottom with the thumb and the index finger. Once the tablets are flush, they are guided into the dispenser with the inner containment area open.
